The members of the ensemble are:

The singers are all amateurs but they try to achieve a semi-professional level. The main purpose of the ensemble is to enjoy singing, and to try to let the audience join in the pleasure they feel. De zangers zijn allen amateurs, maar ze streven ernaar een semi-professioneel niveau te behalen. De leden van Opus '90 maken voor hun plezier muziek, en proberen dit plezier aan hun publiek over te brengen.

 

 

The ensemble has built up an enormous repertoire of ensemble music, varying from secular to religious music, and from renaissance to contemporary music. Het ensemble heeft een groot repertoire opgebouwd, varierend van wereldlijke- tot kerkmuziek, en van renaissance- to hedendaagse muziek.

The ensemble is well known for the performances of humoristic repertoire. In 1995 Opus '90 played and sang in "Comedy of Errors" by William Shakespeare, performed by theatergroup Evanee in Zeist, Netherlands. The ensemble has been active as fundraisers for Amnesty International and the HIV-society The Hague. They have also performed together with recorder-ensemble La Falga on the contest of the Dutch Open Recorder Festival, in May 1998. There they won the second prize in their category. In March 1999 the ensemble performed as soloists in "Die Sieben letzte Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuz" from Joseph Haydn, with chamberchoir Gloriant. One of the performances took place in "De Doelen", Rotterdam's famous concertbuilding. Opus '90 staat bekend om humorvolle concerten. In 1995 zong en speelde de leden van het ensemble in "Spel der Vergissingen" van Shakespeare, uitgevoerd door toneelgroep Evanee in Zeist. Opus '90 zong belangeloos op concerten ten bate van Amnesty International en de Haagse afdeling van de HIV-Vereniging Nederland. Ze traden op samen met blokfluitensemble "La Falga" uit Den Helder, op het concour van de open Nederlandse Blokfluitdagen, in mei 1998. Ze wonnen in hun categorie daarmee de 2e prijs. In maart 1999 trad het ensemble op als solistenkwartet bij kamerkoor Gloriant in "Die Sieben letzte Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuz" van Joseph Haydn, o.a. in de Doelen in Rotterdam.

Concert:

14 oktober 1999: Pieterskerk Leiden: Optreden op internationale conferentie van de Veerstichting. Aanvang 16.30. Performance on an international concerence organised by the Veerstichting.

1 april 2000: LUSTRUMCONCERT. Opus '90 bestaat 10 jaar in ongewijzigde samenstelling en dat vieren we met een concert in de Remonstrantse kerk, Laan van Meerdervoort 955 in Den Haag. Een feestelijk programma met muziek van o.a. Toch, Brahms, Wagenaar, Jannequin. Prachtige muziek en een flinke dosis humor. Opus '90 celebrates its 10 years of existance with a great concert in the Remonstrant Church in The Hague, Laan van Meerdervoort 955. A celebration with great music and a lot of humour.

Het Lustrumconcert van Opus '90 is een benefietconcert. De opbrengst van ons optreden gaat naar Stichting FOK, een stichting die vakantiekampen organiseert voor kinderen met Cystic Fibrose, ofwel taaislijmziekte. Meer informatie over Stickting FOK hier. The benefits of this concert go to FOK, an organisation that organises holiday camps for children with Cystic Fibrose, a serious illness.
