Brass Band Willebroek are the new Belgian Champions. Brass Band Midden-Brabant came third after Brass Band Buizingen.
Brass Band Willebroek and Brass Band Midden-Brabant both played 'Dove Descending' (Philip Wilby), Brass Band Buizingen played 'Diversions on a Bass Theme' (George Lloyd) as their own choice piece. The test piece was 'Albion' by Jan Van der Roost.

The test piece for the Belgian National Championship section is a new work by Jan Van der Roost, entitled 'ALBION'. It will also be used as a test piece for the national championships in other European countries, including England.

Brass Band Midden-Brabant obtained a fifth place at the European Brass Band Championships in Montreux. The test piece for the EBBC 2001, Montreux Wind Dances, by Carl Rütti was rated 93/100 points and the own choice piece,'Tristan Encounters' by Martin Ellerby was rated 87/100 points.

Brass Band Midden-Brabant have won the National Championships 2000!!! The imposed piece 'Volcano' by Robert Simpson was rated 279 out of 300 points, the own choice piece 'Tristan Encounters' by Martin Ellerby was rated 278/300. Second placed was Brass Band Buizingen.
