Current Results

1: Here played by a flute, this is the first true sonata ever written for the bassoon as opposed to the dulcian.
2: This is the best known bassoon concerto, a must for every bassoonist.
3: The opening of this piece, although here in piano, is a very famous bassoon solo.
4: This is a piano piece, yes, I know, but I have transposed a version for bassoon, and darn if it isn't fitting!
5: Here we hear a classic bassoon solo in the opening of Grieg's 'Mountain King'.
6: The great runs in this piece are another classic set of bassoon qwipets!
7: In Academic Festival Overature the bassoons get the great 'catch a falling star' solo... I got to play this at MN All State Orchestra!
8: From the Dance of the Bartered Bride, the bassoon gets an excelent solo to share with oboe... another All State piece!
9: Great bassoon stuff here... what more can I say????
