Dean and I met on ICQ (a chatting programme), about 2 1/2 years ago. After many long chats, I thought it would be neato to meet this person, but the distance was a little problem, I was in Australia & Dean was in Ohio, USA. I decided it was time to leave the stiffling, suffocating confines of Adelaide. So I got my act together, worked my butt off - with heaps of help from my best-friend, Mark (he made it happened, but he wouldn't admit that to anyone *s*)... AND here I am, in Piney Fork, Ohio. YEAH!! Land of Opportunity!!! Dean worked really hard, he re-built his home so that everything would be perfect when I got here .... and I couldn't ask for anything more. Dean makes all my dreams of happiness come true, he is the sunshine of my life, the glimmer in my eye .. we are like kids with new toys to play with... each other *S* I think I make him happy too (and I can cook - that was a plus *giggle*) Not all internet relationships work, I guess starting with a good friendship certainly helps and communicating, the many hours we spent at our keyboards chatting to each other I couldn't count, and we still have so much to talk about at the end of the day. And to all the 'doubters' who think it can't happen ... I just shrug my shoulders, cos I am happy :-)) We are certainly enjoying our new life together, I wish everyone could feel the happines that I do now. This will be the first Christmas I have celebrated in 7 long, sad years, I hope that the joy & happiness that fills my heart & life everyday will also fill your Christmas Day with your loved ones ... for I have found my loved one - someone to be happy with. My dear friends Mark, who has helped me to survive some of the hardest times one person should ever have to, I can only say with tears in my eyes, Thankyou for not letting me give up .. Mark has been my 'rock' for so long, better than a brother even could've been ..... Kazza - always said to me "there is someone out there for ya, don't give up" as much as I didn't believe her at the time ... Kazz if you could see the joy, love & happiness that I feel ..... you would know that what you said so many times has finally come true .... Marita *hugs* babe - and Graham - four special people who have been my friends 'unconditionally '- now I wish for you all to feel the love & happiness I am as I approach what 'has' been the loneliest time in my life .. BUT this year I will be with loved ones around me .. THANKYOU for being there for me!!! I will love you always for giving me Faith & Hope Now I just need to get my darling Sabre cat over here with me *giggle* |
