The Internet Mozart Society
I'm sure there are plenty of societies running around centered on Mozart
and his lovely music. I don't think to date, however, there is any such
society on the Internet. If they do, they probably require you to pay some
entry fee to keep their little organization going. You'll have none of
that here!
Since I'm just starting up TIMS (Cheesy anacronym, I know. I
sure hope that's not an anacronym for somebody else!) it'll be a little
slow going at first. If there is any "official" Mozart society
out there, then this must be unofficial. I don't know how exactly any website
or fan club for that matter becomes "official," but what can
I say? I'm an amateur, just a Mozart lover who wants to set up an organization
for fans of Mozart everywhere.
1.)Will I have to pay a fee?
Not a cent! Joining "TIMS" is absolutely FREE.
2.) What must I do to join?
Just go to my FORM SITE. Here you can fill out your name, e-mail
address and a few things about yourself, such as when you became a Mozart
fan and what you like best about his music.
3.) What might I expect when I join?
This is still in the "grey area" since this is a brand
new experience for me. I'll probably be sending out a monthly newsletter
with some comments and questions included from "TIMS"'s members.
In the future I'll try to create a forum or even get a chat room for Mozart
fans.
4.) Is there anyone who might be excluded?
Members will only be excluded if they write offensive or inappropriate
remarks to either me or other members. In general, just use common sense.
I'm pretty liberal. Disapproving with a point of view is fine, profanity
or lewd remarks are not.
5.) Will my name and e-mail be divulged to other members?
If you do not want it available to other members, please include
this in your comments on the membership form. Member names and e-mail addresses
will be posted on the first newsletter.
