Hello out there! Welcome to my Opera Homepage! My name is Salvador. I am a retiree from the
telephone industry. My main hobby is opera music. In my spare time I sing opera. Although I sing by myself,
or along with the the cd's , tapes or records. Music makes me happy, and nostolgic. One of my goals is to find
friends whom have similar musical tastes as I.  I t would be nice to have the opportunety to discuss opera with
those who appreciate it as I do. I have very few friends who enjoy my style of music. I enjoy singers of the past.
Such as (just to name a few) Curuso, Melba, Fernando, DeLuica, Jose Mochia, Ricardo Stracciai, R Poncell,
Russian & German singers, Sopranos and Spanish. As well as those, I also enjoy classical, piano and violin pieces.
Unfortunetly I have never seen a live opera performance. Perhaps some day I will have the chance. Although I sing
opera, I am not a musician. In recent years I have had some vocailization lessons. (Totaling to about 30 days) A lady
who once directed me in lessons told me that my voicereminded her of mario Lanza. I myself am not really sure, bec
ause I dpnt' know my own voice. When I sing, I like to sing my own way, and improvise when I can.  I would like to
find a teacher whom may teach me to sing properly. This teacher would have to understand my voice, as well as my
style of singing. Maybe one of you out there would know of someone? HaHa. Also,I have had the desire to study both
the piano and violin. I have been reading a music theory book, that is quite useful. Besides reading that, I have been look-
ing over sheet music, and voice texts. I have the opportunety to tune in several different opera broadcasts. The one near-
est me, comes from OSUFM in Columbus, Ohio. Othere include the TEXACO Opera in the Metropolitan Opera in New
York City, and the Chicago Opera.
