September 28, 1998:

With the photo and staff pages almost completed, the webpage is nearing total completion. A guestbook and new title images were added this evening. In the works are section pages, with a request for the Planet Sax page first. Work on this project will begin soon. Anyone with any past history information on Center Grove is encouraged to email Jenny or Jessica at SCVJen98@aol.com or JESSICA437@aol.com.

October 1, 1998:

The site was linked to Indiana Band Central's RealAudio recording of the September 26 Greenwood show. Also, a link page was added, while still under construction.

October 19, 1998:

A link was added to Indiana Band Central's recording of the Carmel Invitational. There were more updates in the guest book, and some kinks were worked out in the code. The show is now officially finished, and cleaning has begun. CG drew the first performance slot for ISSMA State Finals (the schedule is on the 1998 page).

November 6, 1998:

After a hectic week of practice last week, weekend of BOA Regionals, and another week of intense (well..sort of) practice, I finally got around to updating the site. CG performs next to last next weekend at Nationals, then we'll be waiting for Semi Finals draw, hopefully. CG members: Practice is changed for Saturday, November 7, from 8 to 12 TO 8 to 4. MAKE THE CHANGE! Winter guard tryouts begin Tuesday, November 12th for interested FALL GUARD MEMBERS. Guard helper signups will be soon to follow. Phoenix arrangements are in the works, and if you haven't settled on roomates, it's too late!

November 26, 1998:

Now that the BOA competitive season is over, CG gets a much needed break from intense rehearsals. Awesome job at Nationals, what an emotional performance! :) Don't forget kids, December 2nd is the annual Fall Banquet. Your section leaders need money from you, and the field commanders need $5 if you haven't paid yet (you're already LATE!). Come to have fun, and enjoy this season. Also: Practice resumes on December 10th, from 3:15 to 4:30. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

December 1, 1998:

After tonight's fall banquet, a few awards need to be announced. The 1998 Outstanding Freshman was Nicole Williamson (CLARINET). The 1998 Most Improved Marcher was Denise Ortega (CLARINET). And the 1998 Outstanding Marching Trojan was Angela Necastro (FLUTE). Way to go girls! It was a nice ending to the season, although we have practice coming up...LOOK AT YOUR MUSIC! Winter Guard: Meeting changed to 8:30 Thursday night instead of 7:30. Also, in the next few weeks, the page will hopefully be finished, along with some new pictures picked up and taken at the banquet added to the photo page.

February 18, 1999:

After a rather long hiatus due to marching, playing (auditions), and school work, I'm finally back and editing the page. The 1998 page was updated, and a 1999 page is in the works. I NEED PICTURES! So whoever has any to share, they would be GREATLY appreciated. In som *old* news, Center Grove won the Field Competition at the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, and won their class in the Parade, yet second overall. Coming in a close second was Webster HS from New York, familiar from a top-ten entry at Grand Nationals in 1997. At the field competition, CG won the captions of: Auxiliary, Percussion, Music Performance, and were second place in the captions of: Drum Major and General Effect. The placements were as follows:

1. Center Grove HS(96.10)
2. Webster HS (95.80)
3. Pflugerville HS (91.70)
4. Highland HS (90.70)
5. Pickerington North HS (85.55)
6. Cumberland Valley HS (84.30)
7. East Coweta HS (81.85)
8. Oscar Dean Wyatt HS (75.80)

The concert bands are now firing up, working for district contest, and hopefully State. A concert is coming up on March 23, which is a sort of "pre-contest" concert.

Mark your calendars: Spring Cabaret: May 21st!

Webpage Update: The history page has been deleted, due to lack of incoming information. If you need any history of our band, check out an ISSMA site (Try Indiana Band Central) or a BOA site (www.bands.org) for this information.

Sunday, March 28th, 1999:

The new Phoenix page was added today, along with the deletion of the staff page, due to lack of incoming info. I'm just going to stick with the shows and students and stuff. :) The concert on the 23rd and the festival on the 24th for the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble were both great successes. FYI: SB plays at Martinsville for district on April 17th; WE and Symphonic Orchestra play at Warren Central on the 24th.

Wednesday, October 8th, 1999:

The link page was updated with many more high school and drum corps links. This page will be continually growing as the days progress, and please email me if you would like to see something else on there. I am currently seeking any pictures I can find of the band, specifically of the 1999 band. I know, it's early, but please keep an eye out. Also, I'd like to thank all of your for your patience as I moved to Florida and started work on the site again. Thanks, and have a great season!
