When was the last time you thought of your skeleton? I thought my bones were good and strong until I sprained an ankle which required an Xray. The radiologist who checked it recommended that I have a dexagram, or bone density scan. That's when I discovered I have osteoporosis. I have always exercised regularly, taken a multi-vitamin tablet and since I hate milk -- I have regularly taken at least 1000 mg of calcium daily. So why me? That's when I discovered that lack of calcium is just one factor that puts women at risk.
