Jams originated sometime during the high school career of those that were seniors when the current seniors (Ballz, Judo, daddy longlegs) were freshmen.  Daddy and Ballz were in wind ensemble, and during certain sectionals in the big practice room, primitve jam forms would be explored.  Coming in one at a time with an ostinato, a funk would be built.  As Ballz senior big brother, as well as Lard-Bal, planted the seeds of jammin' jelly.

When our founders left, Ballz, Daddy, Brutus (98), and NATO (98) were left over the next 2 years to amuse themselves while ignoring band.  This is when Jams really were elvated to a new level.  The jams became 100% improvisational in nature.  growing denser and more complex, virtuostic solos were added.  Ballz was understudy to NATO's incredible solo style.  More varieties of jams were explored, and funky beats were mixed in as the quartet burnt mid-day oil on the floor of the small crowded set room, often attracting audiences.

The future looked grim this year, after important members graduated, but "Jam, Jelly, Jiz and Joints" became jammin' jelly and came back in full force, powerpacked with 8 wind ensemble percussionists.  This group has unusual talent and chemistry, and has spent time meeting after school and even bought microphones to experience and record jams.  This ambitious group has come together and sacrificed in the face of our large band director to bring you a cd of 25 hilarious tracks.  Even if we don't make any money, the satisfaction and musical experience is ours!
