In order to evacuate mechanical vibrations from the audio components Goldmund developed the Goldmund Cones. Their very hard steel body provides optimum contact for the collection of vibrations without resonance. Their high-speed metal point, acting as a "mechanical diode", favors the vibration transfer from top to bottom and prevents the rounding of their tip with time. A special elastomer inside the cones fully damps their own resonance and thus, the Goldmund Cones avoid the usual "filter" effect, which prevents the evacuation of certain frequencies.
The recommended configuration for most audio components is 3 Cones, 2 below the front part and 1 below the back, usually the most vibrating part of a component.
