WELCOME TO MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE CURRENT MIDDLE AGES
What are the "Current Middle Ages"?
There was a time period in European history between the fall of the Roman empire and the High Renaissance, although many disagree about the exact dates that this time began and ended. This was the age of fuedalism, knighthood and chivalry. Heroes, some real and some fantastic, such as Arthur, Charlemagne and Beowulf were the stuff of legends. Real knights such as the Black Prince and William Marshall led lives that were well documented. The Current Middle Ages are an attempt to re-create some of the ideals of that time and understand it's realities. The official name of our organization is "The Society for Creative Anacronism"
The Society for Creative Anacronism is a non-profit organization devoted to learning about the Middle Ages by practicing the arts and sciences of the period. In order to focus our studies we select a "persona" of a person would could have existed in the middle ages and try to learn as much as possible about what that person's life would have been like.
