Green Mountain Dreamers

October 5, 1998

Old Business

The Green Mountain Dreamers met at Trinity College for its monthly meeting. Members in attendance were Randy, Tom, Chris, Claude, Julie , Al and Lou. Randy called the meeting to order at 6:30.

Discussion centered around the purpose by-law changes concerning redemption of stock. Al motion for the by-law changes and Julie seconded the motion. The motion passed by all attending members.

Randy announced that the regional NAIC will be holding another training session sometimes in November or December of 1998.

Lou reported on Home Depot and Gillette. Home Depot is expanding in South America, while Gillette is laying off workers and closing some of its factories world wide.

Julie reported that EMC is a "buy" and Boston Scientific is continuing to buy up other companies.

Randy said Cabletron is coming up and might be bought up by another company and that we should take a long term approach for Whole Foods.

Nike was done by Tom and Nike is trying to de-emphasis the "swoosh" more.

New Business

Claude and Julie did analysis on MBNA, State St., Microsoft and Robert Hall.

Al did an analysis on the Gap from information that was found on the internet.

The club decided to put buy orders for the Gap at $45.00 per share and MBNA at $15.00 per share. If the price was right we would buy 20 shares of the Gap and 50 shares of MBNA.

The next meeting will be at Trinity College on Monday, November 2, 1998 at 6:30 P.M.
