The attendance for the 1996 season was estimated between 197,000-200,000 1995 Attendance was 202,000
The summer of 1996 was the 7th coldest July in he past 70 years. The record day attendance was August 13, 1996 when more than 7,300 people enjoyed the park. In 1995 the record one day attendance was 4,300
Whether you are young or old you will find plenty to do at Deep River Waterpark. The little ones will have fun in Paddles Play Land a special area for the younger guests of Deep River Waterpark
For the adventure seekers you should try one of the many slide rides. There are the body slides one is enclosed and the other open. Also a tube slide for your enjoyment. In 1996 an attraction that was added is a very high set of slides called the Storm. The T-shirt I wish they would come up with is I survived The Storm at Deep River Waterpark. Anyway the storm consists of 3 separate slides each very unique. The Vortex will take you on a cuving adventure. In the middle there is the abyss a straight drop and very quick. Finally there is the Cyclone with the improvemtnt this year 2 riders (they are slowly but surely working on the sign that disturbed me) on the tube in this is a curved slide as well. On the Vortex and Abyss you can ride double on tubes

Another attraction you can enjoy is the wave pool. The waves come on approximately every 15 minutes In the pool there are 500,000 gallons of heated water which alternate between calm and waves.

For those of you looking to relax get yourself a tube and kick back and stretch out in the Lazy River. This is also a great place to catch some rays.
Stop here first to see when they become available. Season Passes for 1997 were no longer availble after June 30, 1997. Season passes are a great deal even if you visit the park only a few times during the year

You can bring your own food into the park. NO GLASS or ALCOHOL is allowed in Deep River Waterpark
You can visit the surf side cafe for such fun foods as Pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, and much more.
You can plan group outings at Deep River Waterpark during the summer, during the park hours or you

For those of you with a sweet tooth be sure to visit Milo's Sweet Shop.
The grand opening of Milo's was Saturday July 27, 1996. It features
ice cream, sundaes, shakes, candies,and other novelties. Also you may want
to try Dippin Dots. Deep River Waterpark is one of the few places these are available
it is the ice cream of the future. They are little pellets that are -40 degrees. They are a very
tasty treat.
