I believe the definition of a parent is love and honesty. If you are not true in who you are, then your child is denied who they are and where they come from. I am a single mother, 22 years of age, with two children. I realized late in life who I was and what I wanted. If it isn't hard enough to be young, single and a parent I am completely committed to my roomate, whom I love completely. I came from a horrible relationship of abuse that never learned the term "family". I struggled to put together something that couldn't be, for my daughter's sake. To make a long story short, Meg makes our family a family... And we love her.

She is a real parent, she is a gay parent.
