WHEN LAST WE MET Our last meeting was held
at Portside on December12th. There were 74 people in attendance.
OPERATION
COAST GUARD ANGEL
Thanksgiving and Christmas were certainly busy months for the Angel
Fund. Eight needy Coast Guard families received Thanksgiving food
baskets and thirteen families received Christmas food baskets.
A representation from each command and the Chief's on ISC were responsible
for the food drive and did a wonderful job. We oversaw the donation
of gifts for twenty-eight Coastie children. Over thirty individuals
and CG units volunteered to be Angels. The Warrant Officers Club donated
money as well as numerous members volunteered to be Angels. See,
a Warrant really can be an Angel! Thanks to Margaret Moore
for always showing up to help, she keeps Nellie organized and on-track..
The purpose of the Angel Fund is to provide assistance to needy
Coast Guard families in the Tidewater area. Everyone's help has made
that possible.
Now, to start planning for the Charity Auction! Any volunteers...
