Hong Kong was colonialized by the British for over 150 years.  Last year Hong Kong the little British coloney, and financial power house of Asia was returned to China.  Since then all the sketismism has died down and people are living a normal life.  The people of this little island still enjoy the same freedoms and liberties as they use to under British rule.
