SHE HAS COPIES OF LEASES, MAGAZINE ARTICLES, NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS, AND LETTERS TO EDWARDS FAMILIES FROM THE EDWARDS LAWYERS. SHE STARTED CONTACTING PEOPLE NO MATTER HOW REMOTELY CONNECTED. SHE HAS LETTERS FROM PEOPLE IN KY, KS,GA,TN, OK ETC. SHE HAD PEOPLE FILL OUT ANCESTOR CHARTS AS FAR AS THEY COULD. SOME DID, SOME NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED HER. THE NEW YORK THING PROBABLY WAS A SCAM, BUT SHE MADE CONNECTIONS WITH A LOT OF NEW FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SOME HAD DONE RESEARCH OF THEIR OWN AN SENT IT TO HER. THIS IS WHAT I WILL TRY TO SHARE. can establish a greater lineage or deduce historic distinction that the
Edwards Family of Wales. From Colonial families of America by George
Mc Kenzie;
Richard Edwards father of William Edwards born in Somersetshire, 1523,
was a musician and writer of interludes, studied at Corpus Christi College,
Oxford, Eng. He was appointed in 1561
a gentlemen of the Chapel and MAster of the Singing Boys.
He died in 1566 at the Edwards Hall. Situated near Cardiff
in Glen Morganshire, Wales. His epitaph was written by Tuberville,
in the following year. This Hall was built in the time of William
the Conqueror by Sir Godfrey de Pomerce, a Norman Knight. This hall
came in to the Edwards by subsequent marriage and was abandoned about 1620,
when 4 brothers -John, THomas, Robert and William - sons of William and
grandsons of Richard Edwards came to America to settle land granted to
them for service rendered to the King. The ruins of the Old Hall
are now showing in a photograph, there in possession of the granddaughter
8x removed, Georgia Edwards. Tradition in the family is tat the Edwards
Coat of Arms, was granted for buildance for powerness at crecty by Edward
III,
1335 AD. A copy was commemorated in memorial Volume of families
meeting at Stockbridge, Sept 5 & 6 1870 and under it the words verified
at Heralds College in London, Sola Nobilitus Virtus.

coat of arms used by the family of THomas Edwards bears the Welsh inscription
HEB DDIN DUN DIGN which translates into English, EVERYTHING FOR GOD, NOTHING

Thomas Edwards came to America
from Wales in 1620, married and had a son Thomas, this Thomas married and
had the following children: Robert, John, Thomas, Solomon, William and
Frankie (Francis), Joshua, Leonard, Jacob and William II.
Thomas settled on Manhattan
Island in the State of NY> Frankie married Joseph Wickliff.
It has been said Solomon went to Canada. John, William and Robert
settled in Virginia. Joshua, Leonard and Jacob went west and William
II married Isabel Chambers and moved to Benduct, Maryland. He had
the following children: John, Joseph, Sally, Jarrott, Stratton, Jessie
and Ambrose. Stratton died in infancy, Jessie lived to be a hundred
and one yrs. old. Jarrott died in Edgefield, SC Jan 31, 1832.
Ambrose died in Jones Co., GA. He has a large family of descendants
scattered over GA.
