Pardon Our Appearance...

We are in the process of building our very own database; which consequently, takes a great deal of time and work. Unlike other similar services, all listings are currently compiled by voluntary submission from women who wish to list and be found in the directory by their maiden name. We have networked with numerous sites of particular interest for and by women which helps us advertise and spread the word about the directory. The only way you will find a woman by her maiden name in the directory, is if they submitted their listing information to us.

If you are a woman looking for another woman by her maiden name the best advise we can give you is to LIST YOURSELF. This will provide you with the best possible chance for a successful reunion. We firmly believe if you are looking for a person you knew by their maiden name, chances are they are looking for YOU too! Access the FREE Register Here!

Tracking down a married woman when you only know her maiden name can be difficult. While this information is on her marriage certificate, most states do not make marriage certificates available to the general public until 50 years after the wedding and then only if both the husband and wife are deceased. State vital records offices manage marriage certificates. Find out how to obtain these certificates via Vital Records Information: Vital Records Information Link

Genealogy.com offers information that is mainly tailored to genealogy searches: Genealogy.com - How to find a woman's maiden name in church marriage, baptism or christening records Genealogy article
If all else fails, search the archives of the bride's hometown newspaper. Wedding announcements always include the groom's name. A listing of US local newspapers, by state, is available at: US local newspapers Or by following this path from the LookSmart homepage: Library - Society - News & Magazines - US Local News.

In the meantime, provided for your convenience, are links to some of the best resources available on the WWW for searching while we continue to build the database. Some of these sites offer explicit tips for finding people, both male and female; although males don't have a problem being found since their identities rarely, if ever, change over their lifetime.

You can help build the database by spreading the word about the directory to all the women you know.
