Kelly Kim Young and I was born on December 11, 1962,
 which makes me a Sagittarian for those who take 
stock in such things! 


I am a graduate of the 
University of Waterloo,with a Bachelor of Arts in 
English.



I am a reporter for the Kincardine News.
  
I am the mother of two wonderful boys! 
They are truly the stars of my life!

As many of you already know I am a big fan of
Star Trek in all it's incarnations! I have a 
collection of all the novels and 
tend to get lost in them until they are finished!
But Trek books are not the only ones I enjoy. My 
favourite author is Canadian fantasy writer
 Guy Gavriel Kay, whose Fionivar Tapestries make me 
cry every time I read them! I also enjoy the work of 
Marion Zimmer Bradley - in particular The Mists of 
Avalon. And I can also be found with my nose in 
Star Wars books fairly regularly!

Musically, I am a big fan of Celtic music, both 
instrumental and vocal, and my favourite groups 
are The Corrs and  Great Big Sea. 
We were lucky enough to see Great Big Sea 
in concert in North Bay this summer 
and they were GREAT! I also enjoy 
 alternative bands such as The Cranberries and 
 The Bare Naked Ladies, and more main stream music.
 Among my favourites are Bryan Adams and Sheryl Crow. 
I am always singing along to something, as I decided 
long ago it is almost impossible to be 
sad while you are singing!



I'd like to say that I am passionately proud to be 
a Canadian! This is, in my opinion, the best place 
in the world to be (even with the aweful winters!). 
I encourage everyone to visit the friendliest country
