Harry Shannon -
(b May 5, 1841/d November 25, 1914) Harrison J. "Harry" was
the husband on Eliza Louise Ballard (b March 28, 1848 in Wayne Co, IL/d
April 23, 1885) Harry and Eliza married in 1867 and had 8 children.
After Eliza's death, Harry married Sarah (Cox) Compton, widow of George
Compton. Harry was the son of Thomas Shannon and Rebecca Ally. Harry was
my g-g-g-grandfather on my father's maternal side.
Frances (Baisden) and Bennett Cox, Sr. -
Frances
Baisden Cox was the daughter of Edward Baisden and Susannah Branham. She
married Bennett on May 26, 1850. Bennett (b September 9, 1813/d June
12,1894) was the son of Floury Cox and Elizabeth Wellman. Bennett Sr.
and Frances lived in Lawrence Co, KY, and had 10 children, in addition
to the children from Bennett's prior marriage to Sallie Shickels in 1834
Frances Ellen "Sissie" (Cox) Gibson

(b October3,
1892/d September 18, 1987) Sissie was the daughter of Bennett Cox Jr and
Rebecca Shannon (Harry's daughter). She married Will Gibson November 16,
1912 in Lawrence Co, KY. I am guessing this picture was made around the
time she was married. Sissie was my g-grandmother.
