Why Is Bisexuality Relevant To A Married Woman?

Journey Into ... The Life of Betty Sue

Note: This scenario will be translated into heteronics.

Scenario:

Betty Sue is heterosexual. Billy Bob is heterosexual.

When Betty Sue is out with her female friends, they notice men and sometimes talk about them. When Billy Bob is out with his male friends, they notice women and sometimes talk about them.

Betty Sue and Billy Bob notice each other, and, upon further inspection, decide to get married. After their wedding, Betty Sue still considers herself heterosexual; though she sure enjoys an occasional romp in the hay with Billy Bob, she doesn't think of herself as Billysexual. Similarly, no matter how nice Betty Sue looks in that little sundress she insists on wearing to the company picnic, Billy Bob still thinks of himself as heterosexual, not Bettysexual.

And *gasp* Betty Sue and Billy Bob still continue to notice and feel attracted to people of the other sex.

This lovely couple think of themselves as fairly normal, decent people. But what if every time Betty Sue remarked to her friends, "He's nice-looking," they all stared at her as if she was a silly little freak? What if, in the grocery store, Betty Sue couldn't smile too long at the checker without him becoming uncomfortable or offended? Further, what if our poor Betty couldn't even let anyone find out she was attracted to men without becoming a staple of the town gossip?

Now, I suppose Betty Sue could go where people thought it was normal for her to be noticing men. She could go to a het bar, or to a het singles group; people there are often looking for partners of the other sex to share themselves with, sexually and otherwise. But Betty Sue's married, and she's not looking to have sex with anyone but her dear, sweet Billy Bob.

So what does Betty do? She shares this part of herself with those she trusts, and she gets her own web page, calls herself Basil Blue instead of Betty Sue, and she goes to town!

So please say hello in my Guest Book. A town of one isn't much fun.
