I understand that MOST people know this, but for those of you who don't, washing your body on a daily basis is not only good Hygiene and common courtesy, but it shows that you care about yourself. It does not take much to take a shower every day. This washes germs off of your skin, and it helps your body to shed old dead skin cells.
One of the best ways to maintain your skin is to wash with an alphahydroxy body wash, and to use a sponge, (either a natural sea sponge, or a mesh sponge). Another great bath agent is the back brush. This scrubs away all of the dead skin that you cannot reach. This will keep rough patches from forming, so you can be confident when you wear backless or low backed dresses and shirts.
Great skin is moisterized skin. I prefer to use shower gels, because most moisturize, and many do not leave icky soap residue, (think that stuff that sticks to the glass on your shower door, or to the bathroom tiles). My favorite shower gels:
- Oil of Olay moisturizing shower gel
-Origins Skin Diver
-Freeman's 2-in-1 Vanilla and Gardinia moisturizing shower gel
-Freeman's Raspberry and Almond body scrub
-Calgon Gentle Breeze
-Calgon Vanilla Creme
SKIN HINTS AND TIPS
Seven skin sins- Stress, Lack of Sleep, Junk Food, Lack of Exercise, Sun Exposure, Smoking, and Alcohol.
Moisturize your skin daily to keep your skin from geting old and wrinkled sooner than you might want. Use AlphaHydrox Acid enriched moisturizer twice a day. Nivea's AHA products are kinder to the skin and effective enough to work around the clock.
Drink AT LEAST *8* GLASSES OF WATER!!!!!!!!
While many companies have come out with a varity of foaming face cleansers, I prefer a supper fatted bar soap . These soaps carry a higher moisture sontent higher than regular soap. Emollients such as cold cream, olive oil, and cocoa butter are blended into these soaps.
