MY GRATITUDE JOURNAL

Some of you who know me would ask, "What do you have
to be greatful for?" I sometimes ask myself that question. If we
were all to take a long look at our lives and start
to evaluate what gives us a reason for saying we are greatful,
there are so many that we would not have enough room on
a piece of paper to list them all.

I, in the last few weeks, have been given reasons to think
that I have not seen the most important parts of my life.
If I were to start over again it would be a very
big mistake because I have so many things to be greatful about
that I cannot count them. I can only wish about the past
but can make the future a reality of sorts.

The biggest thing right now is the friends that I have accumulated
along with my family. Friends you say, they are a dime a
dozen. No, they are not, because we could not function sometimes without
them. They pop up when you least expect them, and reach out
to give you a big helping hand. They reach out and offer
you the love and support that you have needed all along. I
don't know when I have really had this kind of friendship handed
        out with no strings attached.

Another reason that I have to be greatful about is that I
wake up every morning and I am alive. To wake up and
see the day start out with a beautiful smile is wonderful. Sometimes
that smile takes a while to surface but then again it is
        worth the wait.

I also take a look at the beauty that has been provided
for us. The flowers, that have begun to come up and are
almost ready to bloom in the month of February. The garden looking
as if it would like someone to start working. The outside of
the house seemingly ready for a good cleaning.

I must give some of this greatfullness to my daughter who suggested
a book for me to read that would turn my life around.
She was right and the title of the book is "Simple Abundance"
by Sarah Ban Breathnach. I have only read the month of January
but am very excited because I have reason to believe that I
have missed so much. I do believe that we can get off
on the wrong road, but if we take a few minutes and
take a look at what is their for us, it is amazing
        what a person will see.

This gift was given to me by my
beautiful spirited sister - Dixielady. Thank
        you so very much Sis.

Thank you so very much my Sister - Ruth Anne
