These are a few poems I have collected over the last year.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
 

        Under The Moonlight       

As two ships passing in the night,
So quietly neath the stars soft light;
Our paths cross but now and then
Reaching out, seeking one another again.
 

We say hello and then we part,
Knowing we've shared a piece of our heart.
Some friendships stay and sadly some go.
My prayers remain steady hoping ours will grow.

I ache when you're hurting,
I cry when you're sad.
Wanting to comfort and hold you so bad.
Know that I'm waiting here, with open arms,
To share all your troubles and relish your charms.

I have nothing to offer but the soul of a friend,
Strong shoulders to lean on that don't easily bend.
I offer these freely with no strings attached,
For in caring and sharing you'll not meet my match.

So on some long and lonely night
When nothing seems to go just right
Close your eyes and think of me,
Under the moon's glow is where I'll be.
 

My Daughter

A parent tries to provide her daughter
with insight into the important things in life
in order to make her life
as happy and fulfilling as possible

A parent tries to teach her daughter
to be good, always helpful to other people
to be fair, always treating others equally
to have a positive attitude at all times
to always make things right when they are wrong
to know herself very well
to know what her talents are
to set goals for herself
to not be afraid of working too hard to reach her goals . . .

A parent tries to teach her daughter
to have many interests to pursue
to laugh and have fun every day
to appreciate the beauty of nature
to enter into friendships with good people
to honor their friendships and always be a true friend
to appreciate the importance of the family
and to particularly respect and love our elder members
to use her intelligence at all times
to listen to her emotions
to adhere to her values

A parent tries to teach her daughter
to not be afraid to stick to her beliefs
to not follow the majority when the majority is wrong
to carefully plan a life for herself
to vigorously follow her chosen path
to enter into a relationship with someone worthy of herself
to love this person unconditionally with her body and mind
to share all that she has learned in life with this person . . .
If I have provided you with an insight
into most of these things
then I have succeeded as a parent
in what I hoped to accomplish in raising you
If many of these things slipped by
while we were all so busy
I have a feeling that you know them anyway
One thing I am sure of, though
I have taught you to be proud of the fact
that you are a woman equal to all men and
I have loved you every second of your life
I have supported you at all times
and as a parent, as a person, and as a friend
I will always continue to cherish and love
everything about you my beautiful daughter

    Echos in the Night

I walk in the mist of the night
not knowing where it leads,
I hear a faint call in the wind
as I turn I see a shape,
I feel my heart pound....waiting
and you come into view,
You take my hand into yours
and guide it to your heart,
We embrace under the night
and I hold you tight,
I feel your passion and desire
for I will become yours,
and we shall walk into the
Echos in the night
 

     Run Away...

     run away with me tomorrow
     let me still away all the sorrow
     and end the everlasting pain
     a love for life our hearts would gain
     together forever in love's embrace
     beat the world at it's own rat race
    I would show you a world only we would know
     where there's nothing for love to do but grow
     and if the world ended right now
     this fool here somehow
     would build a new one with her hands
     creating rich and fertile lands
     a reflection of her own heart
     from which you will never part
     laughing, running, playing in the fields
     while our love builds and builds
     This all may seem like a dream
     none of it can come true it may seem
     just reach out and take my hand
     don't try to understand
     just believe...
 

Ever Have A Dream
 

Sometimes I have had dreams that felt
so real that I could almost feel my lovers
touch.
Have you Ever had a dream of someone
you love and  wanted so much, that all
you could do was stay a sleep so that
your dreams of him would never end.?

 Well I have!
I dream sometimes of a perfect place
with him by my side, it's a dream by  a
clear lake,where I feel peace and love,
a place we have been before and not
just only in my dreams.

In this perfect place  by this lake he holds
me tight and tenderly ,
I walk with him  there,embraced in his arms
being kissed by him,
what a wonderful  dream this is.

All my sorrows can not make my dreams
come true,so only in my dreams will we
walked through our lives together holding
each other and there, I will always be
embraced in his arms,
by that clear Lake in my dreams!

My Son's Eyes

As I sit here on my imaginary cloud
My mind wonders back
to all the wonderful moments in my life
I smile as I remember my father's smile
It is so fresh in my memory
I feel closer to him up here on my cloud
I feel him with me
In my heart always
And in my son
I believe he is in my son
every time I look into his eyes
That sparkle is there
the one that was in my father's eyes
I used to miss him
but now I can be with him every day
In my son's eyes
