concept/design : you actually wanted to know?

Since it seems to be the "in" thing to do these days, I thought I'd share my web design philosophy with anyone who gives a flyin' flip... Good thing I don't have a hit counter on this page, eh? :)

Just about everything in yer sight (on this site :)) was created by me [excluding mebbe 2 or 3 of the graphics] using quite simple things that lots of people have on their 'puter already [ie MS Paint. Quit laughing. I'm resourceful, ok?!]. I know I sound like a crabby old bitch, but I hate it when people create these intricate sites without any HTML knowledge whatsoever, then the cyber world ohhhs and ahhhs over how brilliant they must be to know how to do this. Like, yeah, if I had a little more cash to play with, I'd buy me a nice big program that does everything for me, and things would be peachy, but I don't, so I things ain't :). My "uh, not quite" comparison [and another bitch session altogether]: It's like being on a record label. You can sign to Arista/Atlantic/A&M or you can be a Righteous Babe or Grace. Bottom Line: Simplicity is a good thing. I like it, don't you?
