At Just Nails, we can use silk or silkwrap either with nail tips or with
natural nails. If nail tips have been used, silk applications can be made,
using resin, finally-woven fabric and resin activator. After preparation,
the nail plate is coated with resin, upon which is placed silk fabric,
which is cut and applied to the nail and nail tip.
Three further layers of resin are applied. The nail is
then buffed to a high gloss shine, giving a beautiful finish in about one
and a half hours.
For natural nails, silk can be applied in a similar manner in
order to give additional strength or to repair breaks or splits.
In-fills are carried out in a similar manner, with silk
being applied to the new nail growth area.
