How deep can the heart journey We ask as we stare into the endless chasm. Taking steps to the edge we plunge in and wonder why we have not embarked on this journey sooner. With every step we take we realize Love can only grow deeper, as we explore this new world. Our steps at times are sure and swift Sparks flying and music rising to a crescendo At other times the steps are at best slow and heavy making us feel we are treading water just to keep afloat, but tread we must for without the effort we surely will drown. How deep can the heart journey? I say the depth is bottomless, Guessing only where it will all end. I say always go deeper and know Love is our only destiny. Frani February 1999
