Writing
is like a river -relaxing and peaceful,
yet
sometimes loud and tense.
The
relaxing and peaceful part of writing are narratives,
water
flowing swiftly downhill, every once in awhile gliding over a
slippery,
mossy rock.
For
me, writing a narrative is a time where I
can
take my memories and bring them back to life once again.
For
example, my Eric Karros and Paul Konerko narrative,
I wrote
that out of sheer passion.
It
was like sitting at the edge of a small river
with
my feet dangling in the fresh, chilled water watching the strong
currant
flow past my legs and naturally rising over the wet rocks.
The
part of writing that is loud and tense are papers where I have to think.
It
makes me feel like I'm by myself canoeing down roaring rapids paddling
to save my life. Breathing in water from the splurges
in
my face, almost drowning above the mad river, emotions running wild
wondering
if I'm going to live through it or if I'm going to tip over
and
never come up for that last breath of air...
