Alpha Master Chapter - Charleston SC

Alpha Master Chapter

Where Friendship Blooms

Alpha Master is our only Master chapter with 14 members with ages 50+. They are a social sorority of women who meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. The main purpose of the sorority is to promote fellowship and close supportive friendships among its members. Also 5 members have received the "Golden Circle" ritual (Ritual given to members with 50 years of membership).

Members live in the city of Charleston, Hanahan, James Island, West Ashley and North Charleston. Retired members do a lot of volunteer work.

Projects and activities throughout the sorority year include selling knives for their fund raising project. They also assist with the Charleston “Meals on Wheels” program.

Several of the social activities have become traditional over the years, like an annual un-birthday party where names are drawn for gifts and cake and ice cream. They also play a few games.

Most meetings are held at members' homes and include a short business meeting followed by the social part of the evening. Many members like to think of their sorority meetings as their special night out with good friends -- something just for them!
