Health Advisory The World Health Organisation has issued a global alert on outbreaks in Hong Kong, Guangdong province in China and Hanoi of a new acute respiratory disease known as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). If your child has travelled to these places recently, there is a remote possibility that your child may be exposed to the infection. Should your child become ill with high fever (more than 38 degree Celsius) within two weeks of your child's travel to the places listed above, please: (a) Do not let your child attend School, Kindergarden or Childcare. (b) See a doctor immediatly for medical attention and assessment. (c) Your child should only return to School, Kindergarden or Childcare when the child is well. 24 March 2003 |
