I think that you will be pleased with the selections
that I have decided to include in my gallery.
My love of art and most specially the Pre-Raphaelites prompted me to include
this room
at Camden. It is my desire to show you the beauty of these paintings and
to educate about
the painters as well as the paintings. I have yet to collect all the paintings
that I would
like to share with you, but I will be adding a few here and there as I come
across
them. The following links will take you to Art Magick, which is a wonderful
art site
filled with more paintings than I could ever hope to store on this site.

We will begin with a tour of Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
Rossetti was a Pre-Raphaelite
poet and painter. Rossetti lived in London throughout his life only leaving
the city on three
separate occasions. Although, Rossetti's work is filled with Italian influence
he never visited Italy.

John William Waterhouse is another of the artists
that you can enjoy here in my gallery.
Waterhouse was born in Rome in 1849. His most productive years as an artist
were spent
in his Primrose Hill Studio in London. Waterhouse left a legacy of beautiful
archetypal
Victorian images~particularly of wistful female beauties.

With Rossetti and Hunt, Millais founded the
Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in 1848.
The influence of this movement in Millais work was first noticeable in
'Isabella'.

Son of another famous artist, Thomas Dicksee,
Sir Frank came from a family with deep
artistical roots. He entered the Royal Academy Schools in 1871, showing
his first
painting there in 1875. Dicksee's subjects include historical, literary,
and biblical.
