The literature from the Victorian Era is among my favorites! As an avid reader I have tried to read as many of the classics from this period as possible and have found them to be most enjoyable. I decided to include a library on a whim for Victorian Charm and had planned to only cover "Dickens" work (he is my favorite) however, there are so many others from this period that I felt would be slighted if they were left out. By no means could I possible include all the works of these excellent writer's, but I hope to add taste of each. So sit back and relax as you get lost in the words of the literary legends here in Victorian Charm's Library...

Austen

"I had a very pleasant evening, however, though you will probably find out that there was no particular reason for it; but I do not think it worth while to wait for enjoyment until there is some real opportunity for it." This quotation was taken from a letter written by Ms. Austen in January of 1799. If you would like to read more of her works then do click on her name above!

Blake

"Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a heaven in hell's despair."

Taken from The Clod and the Pebble and if you are interested in sampling more of Blake's works then his name will take you there!

Dickens

I love these little people (children); and it is not a slight thing when they, who are so fresh from God, love us. The Old Curiosity Shop (1841) be sure to take time to read a few other exerpts from my all time favorite author! His name will take you there!
