Brother

as I just received your letter a few minutes ago and reading its contents I learned that you neede your money. well I can send you a dollar if that will do you any good. I spent all the small change I has so I will not be able to send you of it at the present but will some future day. I now owe you 40 cts. yet. I cannot tell how soon I can get it for you but you must not think hard of me for I hate to ask Pap for it as I got some new shoes and I do not wish to be to hard on him. I am sorry to hear that you and Zill could not agree for I thought perhaps I would be lucky enough to get her for a sister. I guess that is plaid out now. I think you must of been the first insulter for I know she thought a good bit of you. I suppose you know what you are about and know how to talk to a girl. If you don't I'm no Taylor. did you see Jerry and Rachel when you were at the Springs and how are all of the folks getting along up there. As you did not write a long letter to me I will give you as short a wone. I would very much like to see mother with her new teeth. I will now close hoping you will write a longer letter the next time. I am well and look bully no more but remain

your affectionate Sister
