Meet Angela

Email: awilson@law.uoregon.edu
I make my home in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
I’m 5'3.5" tall and 45 years of age.
I visit the board daily.
My Stats: 192/185/140
My Size Stats: 18/same/10
I usually test lightpurple.
I started Atkins on May 1 2000.
I restrict myself to 20-30 grams of carbs.

My exercise regime:

  • I ride my bike about 30-40 minutes a day, sometimes more..

What I usually eat in a day:

  • I don't eat breakfast sometimes when I do it's usually a salad made with lettuce, bean sprouts, feta cheese or a hardboiled egg, and oil and vinegar dressing.

Lunch is frequently the same thing my major snack is a tablespoon of almond butter. yummm! another is a creamosa made with davinci syrup, seltzer and cream

My favorite recipe:

  • I haven't branched out into the recipes yet, but I have started a collection of them for when the moment of inspiration arrives!

My inspiration:

  • I've joined overeaters annonymous, mostly because I need to have some tools to cope differently with the challenges in my life and to also have a place to work through some of the emotional challenges that always come up when I've lost weight (for example, a lot of times I don't fee physically safe at a lower weight, so the fat stays on). I feel my body getting smaller--especially my belly and boobs. my clothes are fitting better, too. I am also realizing how some of my physical ailments--cracking joints, soreness in the morning--are likely due to the foods I am no longer eating.
My goal:
  • Actually, I continue doing what I'm doing know. However, my thinking, hopefully, will change. I won't be as self-conscious, or insecure about my looks, especially my bust (I wear a 42DDD bra, and on a 5' 3" woman, that's a lot of boobs!) I may take a ballet class...

Have you experienced any negative effects:

  • for a while I was low on energy another problem is that I sometimes have a low-intensity headache, which may be related to my water intake. (getting the H2O in is one of the challenges of this food plan.

My comments:
It is most encouraging to see the value-free support members of the board give one another. That is a priceless gift. Thanks for being here.
