I started Atkins on 02/01/00.
I restrict myself to under 20 grams of carbs.

My exercise regime:

  • Monday thru Friday
    - 20 minutes cardio 5 days
    - resistance training 3 days

What I usually eat in a day:

  • Breakfast:
    none
  • Lunch:
    1-2 Turkey burgers / smoked chicken /
  • Dinner:
    Turkey burger, omlet, chicken salad, bacon, sausage

My favorite recipe:

  • Don't have one yet.

My inspiration:

  • I'm 37 going on 107. I have to get in shape. I want to look good in a pair of shorts with the T-shirt tucked in.
My goal:
  • Buy a new fancy dress (looking like a millino bucks) and have an occaision to wear it too. LOL

Have you experienced any negative effects:

  • Constipation, but Perdiem from Wal*mart keeps the plumbing operational (if you know what I mean :)

My comments:
I have battled the bulge for ever, I have hit 260 lbs. twice in my lifetime. Once at at 13 and again with my second pregnancy. I lost 110 lbs. 13 years ago and maintained it until I quit smoking almost 2 years ago. I have been climbing the scales ever since. I have been on Atkins again for almost two weeks and only lost 5 lbs. I think I lost faster when I was smoking? Anyway, I love this board, I have been reading it for about a week and decided it was time for a formal introduction!!!
