Meet Christine (cmag)
Email: cmag242@aol.com
I make my home in Florida, USA, USA.
I’m 5'3" tall and 47 years of age.
I visit the board 3-4 times daily.
My Stats: 291/214/150's
My Size Stats: 28/14-16/10-12
I started Atkins on August'99.
I restrict myself to 30-50 grams of carbs.
My exercise regime:
- I walk everyday...I can't say how far, each time out is different. I also use
weights and do about 30 minutes 2-3 times a day. I swim laps for 45-60 min. 4 times a week. I
bike ride, usually everyday, for 8 miles. In the 3 cool months here in Fl. I do aerobics
instead of swimming laps..
What I usually eat in a day:
- Breakfast:
2 eggs, 2-3 slices bacon, coffee
- Lunch:
Salad with any meat and sometimes lowfat cheese....I have leftover meat and veggies some
days.
- Dinner:
Meat, meat, and more meat. I always have 2 veggies. Sometimes a salad. If I have a
craving for starchs I have 1/2 tiny baked potato with butter and low fat sour cream.
I miss having pasta so I improvise occasionally with the recipe listed as my favorite.
- Snack:
string cheese or SF jello
My favorite recipe:
-
I saute onions, garlic, mushrooms, bell peppers and eggplant in a little olive oil. I
use a lot of spices...fresh basil, oregano, bay leaf, Mrs. dash, onion and garlic powder.
Sometimes I use zucchini or spinach. Any veggie will do. I add a couple of spoonfuls of
homemade spagetti sauce and serve over 7 zitis with a good amount of loccotelli and asiago
cheese. When the kids eat pasta I don't feel deprived. OH....I also eat sausage and meatballs
with this.
My inspiration:
- I have Diabetes and low carb and exercise is the best way for me to stay in
control. I do take 2 pills a day but I would need a much higher dosage if I didn't watch my
carbs. i want to keep my limbs and vision! 85% of the discomfort, no servere pain, from
arthritis is gone with this WOE/WOL.
My goal:
- Well, I used to use an electric mobility cart all the time and I wanted to get up and
walk and I have been not only walking but doing many other physical activities since I started
this WOE/WOL. So I would have to say I jsut want to remain on my feet and healthy.
(negeffects) I LOVE this WOE/WOL and the only negative I find is constipation but only
occasionally.
My comments: I am very happy to have stumbled onto this board. I have found support and many
good recipes!
