I usually test purple.
I started Atkins on 6/1/00.
I restrict myself to under 20 grams of carbs.

My exercise regime:

  • I try to walk every day -- usually at least 1 mile -- sometimes 2.

What I usually eat in a day:

  • Breakfast:
    0000
  • Lunch:
    Advantage bar or 4-5 oz. meat (usually canned chicken)
  • Dinner:
    2-3 oz. meat - grilled green veggies such as broccoli or spinach or a Atkins shake
  • Snack:
    Atkins shake if I'm really hungry

My inspiration:

  • I've battled my weight all my life. I KNOW this plan works because I used it nearly 25 years ago and lost nearly 75 lbs. I listened to others say it wasn't safe and quit doing it. Since then, I've tried everything -- Phen-fen WeightWatchers, Medifast and have had no success with any of them long-term.

Have you experienced any negative effects:

  • If I don't eat enough -- I get really tired and don't feel well. It's really important to drink LOTS of water, too.
