Meet Kimmers05
Email: kpatton@oldglory-us.com
I make my home in Washington, USA.
I visit the board daily.
I'm 5'7" and am 30 years of age.
My Stats: 238/226/135-140.
My Size Stats: 18/18/8-10.
I usually test trace.
I started Atkins on Mid January, 2000.
I restrict myself to under 20 grams of carbs.
My exercise regime:
- I am currently following no regime. For two years I walked
3 miles a day in a hilly neighborhood. I have not done that now for a
while but plan to start up again this month and will do so 5 days a
week, like before. I have been a slacker, thus the weight gain!
What I usually eat in a day:
- Lately I am not hungry at all until afternoon and I
make a large meal of veggies or salad and have grilled steak or chicken
with lots of garlic infused olive oil. For snacks I like sugar free
jello with whipped cream and cream cheese whipped into it...MMMMM! I
also indulge in the Darell Lea sugar free chocolate bars. NUMMY!
Sometimes I will have tuna salad and pork rinds...peanuts...string
cheese...etc. My diet varies EVERY day!
My inspiration:
- This is the first time I have ever been on any eating
plan and stuck to it when I have had prolonged periods of NO LOSS! If
this were Weight Watchers I would have given up by now or cheated very
badly. Usually I am motivated by the scale but this time around things
are different. This is not to say that the scale does not effect me,
for it can ruin my day or week! I have a friend that did Atkins and
lost 65 pounds in 8 months. Her first three months she was a slow
loser and only lost 15 pounds...so the rest came off in the following 5
months. I have remained dedicated knowing that if I did the weight
would EVENTUALLY come off. Every time I have entertained the notion of
giving up I think of my friend and her slow months and then how it just
started falling off of her! THIS IS WHAT HAS MOTIVATED ME!
My goal:
- Go shopping and get great clothes at bargain prices. That
never happens in the larger size stores! I would like to do a lot of
hiking and biking. I am sure there are OODLES of things I would like
to do that I do not feel comfortable doing right now...so I will just
have to wait and see what success brings me!
Have you experienced any negative effects:
-
I have had no ill effects whatsoever.
