I usually test purple.
I started Atkins on 1/24/00.
I restrict myself to under 20 grams of carbs.
My exercise regime:
- I really haven't started any program yet. I'm hoping to
walk on the treadmill starting this next week. I'm going to shoot for
at least 5 days a week.
What I usually eat in a day:
- Since I've only done it a week, I really don't have a
usual yet.
My favorite recipe:

I haven't really tried any from the boards yet. I'm looking
forward to trying some soon. I've really been eating pretty plain
stuff right now.
My inspiration:
- Just the thought of getting to do what I want with my 5
year old son without having my weight come into the picture in way or
another. And I'd also like to have another child someday and I don't
think that would be a very good idea with all this extra weight from
the first child.
My goal:
- I'd like to be able to do normal things without the weight
"getting in the way". I'd like to take my son swimming, and to a lot
of other places that I won't go because of the way I look and feel.
(negeffects) Well during day 2 through day 5 I had flu like symptoms
but they seem to be subsiding now. No others so far.
Have you experienced any negative effects:
My comments: I'm glad I found this group to give me the extra push I
needed to start the diet. I had the book for at least 6 months before
this. I also like to come to the boards to ask questions and read
others triumphs.
