Lexington Drag Queens Take Over Public Library!

The "Card Catalogue" gets a new entry on July 25th, when the Royal Sovereign
Imperial Court of All Kentucky branches out into new territory. That's
right, the Public Library is the first venue for an Evening of Drag, Awards
and Special Presentations. A star-studded showcast, featuring the
magnificent Empress 16 Chanda Lier, Imperial Crown Princess 16 Eden Towers,
Imperial Princess Royale 16 Mika Milano & Duchess 16 Ginger Grant will
dazzle the stage of the Library's Phoenix Theater for the Official Kick-Off
of Reign 16 - Investitures! A Champage Reception precedes the event, in the
Library lobby at 6:00pm. At 7:00pm, sharp, the center stage of the Library's
Phoenix Theater becomes the focal point for the Very First Drag Extravaganza
inside the Lexington Public Library! Celebrating the beginning of the
current Court year, Empress 16 Chanda Lier & Emperor 16 Elvin Harkins will
also announce their Royal Lines of Descent for Reign 16. Crowns, Tiaras and
certificates will be awarded to the lucky ones!

Miss Veranda Porchswing, of the Alabama Porchswings, is quoted as saying
that "this will be the most excitement the Library has EVER seen!" Special
Guests for the evening include Duchess of Buffalo New York Gladys Over ....
and a RARE public appearance of the fabulous Blanche Pink! Said Miss
Porchswing, "If you liked Coronation 15, you'll LOVE Investitures! I just
can't believe you're having Drag Queens perform in the LIBRARY!"

After the Investitures, the Reign 16 Kick-Off Celebration takes on a new
twist when the Cincinnati Girls make the journey down I-75 for a Unity Show
with Kentucky, at Vertigo. Empress 6 of Cincinnati Christina Blake, Joins
Chanda & the girls at Vertigo, to help Kentucky celebrate the new reign. The
owners of Vertigo have graciously opened their doors, turned on the huge
disco ball and stocked up on the Sambuca for the Royal cap to the entire
evening. Veranda Porchswing noted, "Those are the nicest people, at Vertigo,
that I've ever met! How do they manage to greet each and every one of their
customers? They MUST be from Alabama!"

The evening begins with the Champage Reception in the Library at 6:00pm,
with Investitures in the Library's Phoenix Theater from 7-10pm, and the
Reign 16 Kick-Off Celebration and Unity Show with Cincinnati from 10 -? at
Vertigo. Your $8.00 advance ticket covers you for the whole evening. Tickets
will also be on sale for $10.00 at the door. But Hurry, Veranda Porchswing
says "Girls, they're going fast! Who knows when you're going to see another
drag show, complete with tiaras and all, inside the library! And go ahead
and bring the kids, to the library, at least ... because it's not a bar, the
children are welcome. And y'all tell them to go ahead and park in that
lovely covered parking garage next to the library. That way,even if it
rains, it won't mess up your make-up. Ain't that right nice?"
