MY PHILOSOPHY ON NUTRITION,FOOD, AND COOKING
My philosophy on food and cooking is simple.
I am not a gourmet cook. I try to stick to recipes that use common ingredients that are on hand in the average kitchen, that are easy to prepare, that are low in fat, and that use time effecient cooking methods.
The links on this page are primarily basic information websites that generally would be of interest to the beginning or intermediate skill level cook rather than the experienced gourmet cook. I have not included individual recipes but rather have linked to some good recipe resource websites where you can discover a recipe that is right for you. Enjoy your tour and bon appetit!

COOKING FOR ONE PERSON
Most recipes are for a family. I guess you could just freeze the left overs but wouldn't it be great if there were recipes for single people. I am collecting resources for singles here.
Here is a great website that has many recipes and it has a converter that will adjust the recipe to the number of people you are cooking for. Bookmark this site.
ON THE BACK BURNER
This page, like all pages on my homepage, is still under construction. I am still looking for more interesting websites that would be of interest to cooks who like to keep things simple and not spend all day in the kitchen. I am not interested in gourmet websites or individual recipes. I am looking for interactive websites, like some of the above sites, that can provide information tailored to the individual. I am also looking for a large collection of basic microwave recipes and information and tips for cooking and freezing in individual portions. I am looking for more websites with information for the single cook (Not all of us have large families, but we have to eat too.) If you have any websites in your favorite folders that you want to share, send them to me. Bill_San_Diego@webtv.net
