My full name is Bradley Karl Wegrich. This first picture of me
was taken very recently (Summer 2000). The other is from a couple years ago in my backyard. Another picture of me in my element can be found by
clicking here.
I have many interests and have trouble
finding the time to do everything that I want to. I am at
the stage of my life where I am trying to make the time
for the things that are most important to me. I have
exorcised most of the demons in my life and am happier than
I have ever been. I live in Champaign, IL where I have
lived for 17 years.
I have been self-employed since 1978. I most recently have disengaged myself from my furniture
store which I have co-owned for the past 8 years. Currently, I am enjoying not having to attend to the business on a day to day basis.
I do have a part-time antiques business and am seling things on Ebay. The antiques business used to be my main employment before opening the
furniture store. Prior to this, I spent 9 years working in
social services. I worked primarily in the crisis
intervention counseling field, both as a service provider
and an administrator. I have a degree in Psychology from
Illinois State University.
I own and reside in a Victorian house that contains four
apartments. The house is in a constant state of
construction and I try to do everything myself. Home life
is important to me and I spend time there with my cats
relaxing, reading, gardening, cooking, and hanging out on
the web. I enjoy news, movies, educational TV, and college
basketball games on TV. However, I am not a TV junkie and
watch even less now that I am on the web.
Friends and family are very important to me. My mother is
still living and resides a little over an hour away. I
have one brother and four sisters. Two of them live in the
same town as my mother and the rest are out of state. I
remain friendly with my ex-wife of 9 years. I have many
friends and a few very close friends, most of whom are
straight. I have been out in my everyday life only for
about six years. I have found it to be a life-enriching
experience.
I am not particularly spiritual as I have never quite
figured out what that means. I was raised without religion
and, if must be pegged, I would have to say I am agnostic
with Buddhist leanings. I find Astrology interesting but
do not put too much stock in it. I do find the
descriptions of personalities to be right on. If it means
anything to you, I am a typical Capricorn on the Aquarius
cusp with my moon in Scorpio. Along these same lines, I
find the Tarot fascinating. I am a pretty good
practitioner-reader but, again, do not put much stock in to
it. I have found that the Tarot has the ability to cut to
the core of people and tap in to their inner thought and
feelings.
You can read more about my primary interests throughout the
rest of my webpage. As for the future? I am working to
get out of this town as I feel like I am in a dead end
here. I am probably a year or so away from being able to
leave. I have been
doing a lot of travel over the past few years with a mind towards figuring out where I want to move to. I have recently decided to move to the West coast barring something drastic happening to change my mind. I have not pinned down the location yet but have a few places in mind. It will take me a few more trips before I decide where I will be. I do know that the corn fields of Illinois have grown way too
tiresome for this nature boy!
