I'm not quite sure how I got started writing fan fiction for Cats fans...

Sonia: Yes, she is. She just doesn't feel like telling the story because it's a little complicated and not really interesting.

Yeah. Anyway, it seems to be going pretty well so far, and it's probably the closest I'll ever get to publication.

Samson: Because she's too lazy to work on anything that ever stands a chance of getting published.

Shush! Here is the obligatory disclaimer: Cats and everything related to it belongs to Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Really Useful Group. I could never hope to own even a microparticle of it. I am not being paid to produce my stories...

Samson: Oh, don't you wish...

...I am just doing it for the sheer joy of letting fellow Cats fanatics read it and tell me what they think of it. Believe it or not, I am enjoying this despite the occasional frustration.

Sonia: And the heckling from us!

So on to the stories, already. The first one I have written is an introductory novella called Of Cats and Men. My writing tends to be slightly PG rated for any parents who are wondering if your children should be reading this. It is science fiction set roughly in the 23rd century or thereabouts, and rather faithfully details some of the scenes from the video. A warning: if you notice that some of the names are spelled strangely, it's not because I'm a lousy speller.

Sonia: Heaven forbid! She's very anal about things like that.

I just wanted to give names like Victoria a more alien feel. Finally, I know some of you may not agree with my interpretation of Cats, but I'm willing to accept that. Please e-mail all comments, both good and bad, to WitchCat07@yahoo.com. Try not to be mean and spiteful, though; I appreciate constructive criticism, but I don't like being flamed any more than you do.

Okay, I give it up! I simply do not have time to finish this. This may be disappointing to some of you...

Sonia: Like who?

But I am going to have give up on the Coricats. I had another story in mind to conclude the mess I've left them in, but doubt I'll ever get around to writing it.

Samson: She is a huge procrastinator after all.

So for those of you who are interested, here is a rough summary of that story.

The Big Conclusion

If you're interested in what goes on in my head while I'm writing that doesn't actually make it onto paper...

Sonia: Gee, and who wouldn't be?

...I have put together some explanatory notes.

And now for a little insanity...

Sonia: So, what do you call the stuff we've seen so far?
