The wheel - one of man's oldest and greatest creations and one of the only inventions we can be sure a member of the Xenaverse didn't have a hand in!

Here we have a collection of inventions which were first seen in the scrolls of Xena & Gabrielle - some good, some useless and some Indispensable.
The Flying Parchment or Kite
First seen slaying the Giant Gareth.
When Xena & Gabrielle went up against Goliath, mirrors and sunlight were used to help bring down the mammoth man. However, going up against Gareth - the meanest, nastiest Giant to ever roam the earth - the weather was not in our Heroines favour. The Flying Parchment  would later be called a Kite was invented.
Electricity
Proving that she had not gone off the deep end - Xena explained that by attaching a belt buckle or anything metallic to a string attached to the Flying Parchment would hopefully coax the power of Zeus's thunderbolt to earth through the Parchment contraption. And tieing the Kite to Gareth would mean striking down the Giant for good. Xena wouldn't know it but this was what would come to be known as Electrocution.
The Cold Shower
Remarkably, one of Joxer's better ideas is now used the world over by amorous men and women who need well, cooling off. Presumably Joxer needed to take many a dip when travelling from place to place, for he was never known to be successful with women - at least ones who didn't charge by the candlemark.
Even Xena found his advice to be most helpful if not a little chilly!
The Baby Swing
Having missed out on Solan's childhood, Xena would try to make the most of Eve's. But, being the Warrior Princess means you have to expect trouble. So the Baby Swing was soon formed and would come in handy when dealing with thugs or bandits because it would leave Xena free to help Gabrielle ward off the lowlife and keep Eve amused.
GO-GO Dancing & Rapping
During one of their confrontations with Draco, Xena & Gabrielle challenge the warlord to a talent contest to win the Lyre of Terpsichore. Along their way to claiming the top prize, Xena raps her opponents off the stage and - in a post win celebration - Gabrielle, fully kitted out in dancing gear, creates Go - Go dancing. Who said these gals were all business huh?
Action Dollies
Gabrielle, loyal and loving partner of Xena, had always marvelled at the Warrior's incredulous flips. One day the Bard thought she had finally figured it out and, in doing so, our clever little Poteidaian modelled the first ever Action Figure which just happened to be of....yes the Warrior Princess herself.
The Beer Hat
And now, the headwear no mighty warrior should be without....the Beer Hat. Developed by Joxer the Mighty when beer was quite literally 'On the House' after Gabrielle and her enchanted scroll made it so, the Beer Hat has been used by many a male on those nights where drink is their only friend.
The Fish Constellation
The Bear....The Hunter...Orion...The Ladle.
Well anyway, we've all heard of most of those constellations but on a special day in Ancient Greece a pair of heroic women created their own Fish Constellation when Xena launched Solaris and the North star into orbit and ensured that travellers could once again look to the North star for guidance back home.
Slumber Party
Taking time off from their hectic day to day lives Xena & Gabrielle hold up in one of Aphrodite's temples to recuperate. Whilst Xena sleeps, Gabrielle tries to reccount some of her journeys and thoughts in her scrolls, but finds her new role of Xena's protector both wonderful and challenging. Sensing the Bard needs to chill out, Aphrodite suggests a Slumber Party - the first of it's kind - where Gabrielle can relax and talk to the Goddess of Love without any risk of an attack. Feeling fully refreshed after her time in the Temple, Gabrielle would recommend one of Aphrodite's parties to anyone.

The Women's Sign
Having just survived some tremendous spiritual and emotional ordeals in India, Xena & Gabrielle both ponder on how they will find each other in the next life. It is here that Xena draws a down pointing arrow below the Chakram Mendi drawn on her body and both agree that this is the symbol which they will search for all  through their lives to find one another.
Beauty Pageants
Onto one of Salmoneus's schemes now, the first contest to find:
'Miss Known World'
When someone is terrorising innocent girls into quitting the pageant Xena & Gabrielle are unconcerned. It is only when Salmoneus explains that the peace treaty between three cities is at stake that Xena steps in to become Miss Amphipolis. The inaugural contest is won by Miss Artiphys whom is later discovered to be a man!
Punch Bag
An alternative to Joxer's remedy for Sexual frustration, Xena prefers to exhaust her energy through physical activity. And if she can't exercise physically THAT way, then punching an over inflated wine skin is the next best thing. Of course there's always...... ;)
Stonehenge
Scientists...Archaeologists...Historians the world over have tried to discover the significance of Stonehenge. The mystery was finally discovered through the scrolls of Gabrielle when she and Xena were in Britannia. The circle of stones erected in the middle of England are in fact the ruins of Dahok's temple. The temple in which Gabrielle lost her blood innocence and Dahok's evil child was impregnated into our bard.
Lipstick
The earliest form of makeup was discovered when Gabrielle applied, what she thought was berry juice, onto her lips.
The redness really accentuated the bard's features, unfortunately the juice was not from berries but from crushed bugs for Xena's fish bait!
Absailing & Bungee Jumping
Xena will do anything for her bard and Gabrielle will do anything for her warrior. When Gabrielle was dangling off the cliff suspended by a rope bridge, Xena tied a rope around herself and a boulder and jumped off - catching Gabrielle and saving her from plummeting into the lava below.
This technique can also be utilised when excaping a building from high up. When Gabrielle was faced with saving the life of her friend however she forgot to have a rope handy and fell with her daughter Hope into the lava flow - oops ;)

WWF Wrestling
With this year being the 20th Anniversary of WrestleMania it seems only appropriate to mention the origin of the great spectacle known as wrestling.
After being caught peeking by the Amazons, Joxer was reluctantly sentanced to a fight to the death. Gabrielle utilised her power as Queen to select her Champion Xena to fight in her place. Faced with having to kill a good friend, Xena & Joxer faux fight - Wrestle as it were - and manage to avoid either participants death.
20 Questions
One of the dynamic duo's favorite games.
Ideal for the not normally chatty Xena and the ever exuberant Gabrielle as it only required the minimum of input from Xena.
Of course over time Xena would learn to open up to her friend and become quite adept at asking her own questions. It was through little things like this game that would enable the little Bard to burrow her way into the heart of the Warrior.
Charades
And now the game which is played at all big family get-togethers Charades.
The often confusing and frustrating game which had become a fixture in all gaming circles, was  developed by Gabrielle during those long nights under the stars. From what we know it was not one of the Warrior Princess' favorite games as she never seemed to win.
Gabrielle has many skills of her own!
