When PhotoCD
came out in '92, I put 100 of my best slides on it and posted 20
of them in JPEG format to the usenet news groups.
As some of the first high resolution images on the internet,
they got a lot of attention.
You may still find them scattered on the Web.

The 2D Home Gallery
A professional photography magazine in Norway did a special on
Pictures via the Internet
and asked me to publish the sealions picture,
which they retrieved from the net after a long digital journey.
Also, bryce3 and owl-face
got an "honorable mention" in the
International Teletimes' first internet photo-contest.
What's next?
More nature galleries are under construction.
You can already get a preview with the Alaska
and National Parks Galleries.
More information (e.g. maps and
national parks) could also be provided
on the photographs origin. Or, you can
mail me some suggestions.
