Hi! Thats me, Heidi Banks. I am 18 years old and live in Richmond, Virginia and Blacksburg, Virginia (Virginia Tech University) during the school year.

I love horses (and computers too of course!) and have been riding since I was 8 years old. I didn't get into showing at AQHA shows until I was 13 years old but I have been doing open shows since I was 9. I also enjoy snow skiing, laser quest, biking, movies, and as of late - rollarblading.

I currently own a 15.1hh chestnut AQHA western pleasure horse named Mr Pretty Invester. "Handsome" already has his open and amateur superior in western pleasue and well over 120 points in this event alone. Handsome and I compete mainly in western pleasure but hope to add and perfect Horsemanship, Showmanship, and Western Riding within the next year. We mainly show in Virginia but also sometimes venture into North Carolina, Maryland, and other East Coast states - as well as Ohio and Texas for the AQHA Congress and Youth World.

I am an avid believer in 4H clubs, even if you don't own a horse! I am currently in the Bits 'N' Boots club in Hanover, Virginia. I also show my dog through 4H!

Speaking of pets, I am the current owner of 2 cats (Powder and Frisky), 1 dog (Alex the Aussie), 1 pig (Charlotte), and 2 horses (Sampson and Handsome).

I love all types of music - ranging from pop to rock to country to rap! People always get confused when they look at my collection of tapes!

I consider myself a very lucky person. I have had family support for my (quite expensive) hobby right from the start. I would like to thank my mom and dad for the means to do what I love.
