Post 440

"Finally!!"

After over five years of trying, Explorer Post 440 has just achieved one of its original goals. That of having a ride-along program through a law enforcement agency. We got permission to do a ride along program after post members were suggested to be utilized in a study concerning seatbelt usage across the area. The initial goal of the explorers will be to assist officers in conducting the study during the months of Febuary, March, and June of 2000. From there, the explorers will continue in their career exploration with a ride-along program.

News From our Last Meeting

At the last regular meeting of Post 440 it was decided that the post will move from its regular meeting schedule of two meetings per month, to one meeting per month because of scheduling conflicts for the coming summer months. At this meeting, also, elections for new offices occured, to find out the results take a look at the membership listing page.
Also on the agenda was the planning of the 2001 superevent. This year's superevent, again because of scheduling conflicts (basic training, and jobs outside of the city) have caused us to cancel the summer trip. Scheduling for the 2002 superevent will begin at the first regular meeting of September.
