This is a Florida mountain biking guide. I have been frustrated by other Florida mountain biking websites because they are incomplete: they give poor directions, trail reviews lack depth, and websites are not maintained. Though this site is not all-inclusive, my goal is to remedy these shortcomings by listing the best mountain biking trails the state has to offer. If you are looking for rails to trails, see the excellent Florida D.O.T. website (from the links page). I hope you enjoy learning what you find here and put that information to good use discovering Florida's trails! Years after major hurricane storms came through Florida, damage is still visible on south Florida trails. One remains closed. This site is no longer updated regularly.

The owners of the best place to ride in Florida announced a closing:

After a successful seven years of trail riding and mountain bike racing at the Razorback MTB Park in Reddick , Florida, the park closed. The last day was Sunday 11-04-07. Please see www.goneriding.com for more information.

Florida offers year-round riding, but Fall through Spring riding are most enjoyable. Summers are hot and the mosquito is known as the Florida state bird! Be prepared to handle heat and bugs. Wherever you go, always bring water even if it is available on-site (you may not like the taste!). I have tried to give the clearest directions possible, but if they still confuse then try Google Maps . I have successfully used this service to find new trails. If you are still unclear about directions then try other trail review sites via my links page or e-mail me. As a caveat, I have not ridden all the trails reviewed. I wrote trail information based on summaries from friends, e-mail correspondence, and my own experience that includes about two-thirds of trails listed. Email comments or corrections to .  Latest update is Macon, GA.

I've converted about a dozen pages to the new format so far, including Jacksonville and Miami. You can zoom and pan the maps by clicking and dragging. It makes it much easier to find trails, but I've stopped this effort since other trail review sites are now incorporating similar ideas. If you would like to volunteer your time to help do this send me an email. You have to know how to work with Google Map APIs and javascript or be willing to learn on your own. It's pretty easy if you're technically competent, but it's not a small job. So I'm asking for a little help from the community.

Trails are listed below and the locations are vaguely organized in a North to South and West to East arrangement, or if you prefer, a clickable map is available (choose Trail Map from the navigation bar at left. I suggest visitors unfamiliar with Florida use the click map. Webmasters, feel free to link to this site.
