He is a Vigil Honor member of Atta-Kulla-Kulla Lodge 185.
He is a past chapter chief of A-Ni-Wa-Ya chapter of Lodge 185.
He was a part of the Blue Ridge Council Contingent to Philmont in 1996.
He was part of the Blue Ridge Council Contingent to  NOAC 1996.
He attended the National Leadership seminar 1996.
He was part of the Blue Ridge Council Contingent to the 1997  National Jamboree.
He was part of the Blue Ridge Council Contingent to  NOAC 1998.
He is a past Lodge Chief of Atta-Kulla-Kulla Lodge 185 (1998-1999).
He is past co-president of the National Honor Society of Mauldin High School (1998-1999).
He is past co-captain of the Mauldin High School Debate Team (1998-1999).
He was Upstate Governor's Chief of Staff for South Carolina Youth in Government (1998-1999).
He attended the National Forensics League National Debate Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona as one of three representatives from South Carolina in Extemporaneous Speaking (June, 1999).
Travis began attending Wake Forest University in the Fall of 1999 where he received a full academic scholarship.
