WHAT IS EXPLORER POST 631?

Explorer post #631 is a part of the Boy Scouts of America's explorer program. This program allows boys and girls between the ages of 14-21 an oppourtunity or take a closer look at a certain field of interest as well as build leadership and teamworking skills.

Post #631 (also known as N.W. Search and Rescue inc.) is charter by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office in Portland Oregon to provide Search and Rescue services to Multnomah County. Clackamas County, Washington County, Hood River County also call on Post 631 as well for Search and Rescue Services. Every member of Post 631 will undergo an eight month training cycle of weekly meetings and monthly training outings.

Post 631 has been serving the community for many years. The unit has participated in many different events such as: Searches, Rescues, Evacuations, Sanbagging, Wilderness crime scene evidence serches.....The members of Explorer post 631 are all vollunteers many under the age of 18 dedicating their time and money to better the community.
